Seeking information concerning the family of John UPDIKE and Mary WARNER who settled in Crawford County, Illinois in 1837. Mary was the daughter of John WARNER who also came to Illinois at the same time and settled in Lawrence County. Rachel Virginia UPDIKE, daughter of John and Mary Updike married Joseph S. BAKER. Joseph was a Honey Creek Township farmer and also preached at the Oak Ridge Methodist Church. Rosa Ella BAKER, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Baker, married Everett JOHNSON, the son of Duane JOHNSON and Margaret HENDERSON.

Her birth date found in two unrelated places seems correct. Did he marry someone before Nancy MCCOLPIN (d. 1874-80 in Crawford Co). Is Hezakiah's marriage date correct?
